easy to learn, tactical fun, stategic depth, difficult to master...what's not to like

It is not surprising that it is not rated: It is an East Asian game. It is the most complex boardgame (more complex than chess). A computer could beat a chess champion but it will never beat a go champion. It is regional (mainly in East Asia) but it is as hot as soccer.
