 | Rocket Robin Hood (1) 04/30/2005 | Another bombed out, blitzed over and
the LCC destroyed more than the Luftwaffe ever could.
What could be demolished is the awful
South Bank Centre. London Eye actually
improves the ambiance. Much more
interesting around Waterloo.
Some hidden gems, but I am afraid the
trendy types are discovering the area.

 | Teaseress (13) 05/09/2002 | South bank is my thinking place (I live in London) The nearest stations are Westminster and Waterloo. As soon as you get down there, you have the London Eye smackbang infront of you, and an amusement arcade and the London aquarium, plenty of places to eat as well!
Walk further down and you have the National Film Theatre and the Royal Festival Hall, outside that is a very good book market to have a nose around. Carry on walking down and you get to Tate Modern and the famous wobbly Millenium Bridge which gets you to St Pauls Cathederal. Theres a railway bridge that you can cross that'll lead you to Trafalger Square, or you could get to the City of London.
If you do visit London, its a must do.
