Except for China and North Korea there isnt much left of communism. Pretty much a thing of the past.

A real hated topic for me- most Americans associate communism with the Soviet Union. Good ol' Russia never practiced the kind of communism that nut Marx was preaching...Russia was just a good ol' fashioned one party dictatorship. Communism is rarely studied with any historical objectivity. ..it makes for a poor subject here.

Sorry, Chauncey, I disagree with you totally here. Under the Communist system, goods were shoddy, aristocrats got preferential treatment and human rights abuses were fairly common. Also, any economy under Communism often ended up in ruins. Look at Russia's economy today; it's a mess! But it's largely defunct now and doesn't concern me, so I'll give it a 4.
