I don't know why the leftos hated Moose so much. After all, the New Deal copied his program for the USA and they sure loved that! The New Deal had cartelization of industry, regulation of all parts of the economy, and even had the CCC camps so the youngsters could be regimented, kept fit and under the guise of performing public service, engrained with the attitude that government is good and provides all.

As StanUzbeck pointed out, not the nicest of leaders. He wasn't as bad as Hitler, but he was close enough. Anyone who gives inspiration to regimes like Hitler and Franco, is again, as StanUzbeck pointed out, is unforgivable. Many people hate or did hate him. I don't hate him; I dislike him.

Not a nice guy. Probably not as bad as Hitler, but that's only because Mussolini wasn't a complete psychotic. He did introduce the concept of fascism to the world, which went on to serve as inspiration for the regimes of Hitler, Franco, and Salazar. So that's pretty unforgivable. I guess it's small consolation to his victims that he suffered the indignity of being stabbed to death in the back of a car while begging for his life.
