I love the Thomas Harris books. I never saw a film get as close to the book as Silence of the Lambs. Manhunter was a good film and I love William Peterson in it but the second movie came a little closer to the book. It portrayed his tormented childhood with his Grandmother a little better and the scene in the house with the blind girl near the end was like the book. I loved everything about Manhunter except for the ending. To justify paying Anthony Hopkins they glorified Lector's part a little more in Red Dragon.....

I call it a tie between Dragon and Manhunter. The Thomas Harris book was better than either movie, though.

An ok Film but it's not as good as Manhunter.
