I agree with tboneya. He was actually a very good linguist and clever comedian. Shy, sensitive and was very hurt when his tongue in cheek comedy got ripped into by the awful Ben Elton's of this world. Seriously, you've got self-esteem problems if you found his silly jokes offensive.
