An okay remake. I saw it when it was first in theatres. I have never seen the original but I heard its not really as good.

I like both these movies. The original has the good music and was pretty cool for the time. The story was imaginative. The Eddie Murphey version had the animals talking so you didnt have to use your imagination as much but the humor was there too...very different but still two good flicks!

The Eddie Murphy version was infantile and crude. In no way does it compare to the one with Rex Harrison. But I would chuck either of them in favor of the book.
