The best action on any TV show, ever. It also had great wit, charm and heart. The first 3 seasons were my favorites but I'll take a bad BTVS ep over most movies today. But it's definitely not for everyone. The movie had all of the right components (Rutger Hauer, Donald Sutherland, Kristy, Pee Wee, Joss writing) but never clicked for me.

I'm one of the few who actually liked the movie better. The actress was more muscular and physically convincing. The humor was more transgressive.

Never liked this show, couldn't understand how it was on for as long as it was.

This has to be the biggest improvement from a movie to a TV show ever. The movie, while not completely useless, is mostly trash. Floundering in bad jokes and even worse acting, it's hard to imagine that such a cult TV show spurned from that box office catastrophe. The TV show combined humor, drama, and sci-fi to create an enormously popular, acclaimed program. The movie just can't compare.
