 | PTRoxieMisha (3) 12/07/2004 | Just when you thought regular Twinkies were bad (filled with trans fats and refined carbs), here comes something even worse - the deep fried variety. Just the thought of it makes me sick and I have been telling people to stay away from these if they want to live a long healthy life. So just pass on the offer when someone asks you to try these.

 | AndrewScott (71) 10/25/2004 | The point of the snack is how pointless deep frying a piece of junk food really is. You don't eat this because you want a high quality treat, but more to rebel against good nutrition promoters. If you are otherwise healthy enough, I see nothing wrong with experiencing an occasional deep-fried indulgence, no matter how pointless the concept seems at first. Some fried twinkie connoisseurs recommend dusting the creation with powdered sugar (or frosting) to help it regain the right fat/sugar balance. A popular curiosity at many a county fair.

 | jazzybee (4) 07/24/2004 | i was kind of skeptical at first when i went to a downtown block party to try these, they taste just like a funnel cake, but i would not eat them on a regular basis.

 | Bird808 (52) 05/26/2004 | In Scotland they deep fry all chocolate bars in batter and I cannot even begin to describe how truly unappetising this sounds. So deep-frying twinkies comes as no surprise to me no matter how unappealing this may seem.
