Whether it's just over-crowded or because bar-tenders sometimes serve "selectively" (e.g. to eligible bachelorettes) this category refers to how hard it can be to get a beer at a bar from time to time. (Add picture)

I'm small and usually have a little backpack with a stuffed animal hanging out of the back serving as a purse. I don't have any problem getting attention if I want to. They're probably wondering if I'm lost or something.

I find it annoying trying to get a bartender's attention at a bar, escpecially with a male bartender and 50 girls wearing hardly any clothing hanging out around the bar. In that case, I'm definitely not going to be the first one to get served.

The younger college-age bartenders DON'T have a clue about business or economics and definintly end up driving regulars away, rather than retaining them. Even worse is the preferential treatment that friends of the band or drunken regulars receive. Don't even waste your time with those dives (cough: Mayslacks).

Try being a guy and getting a male bartender to get your drink at a nightclub. It's the worst. I resorted to having a regular bartender who I tipped often to save me the long waiting lines. College-aged guy bartenders are the worst because they don't quite understand that all they are doing is pushing business out the door.

It is very hard for an attractive woman to order a drink at the bar from a female bar tender. There is way too much jealousy.

If you had to wait in a long line to get in and the place is a meat market, get ready to fight for a spot on the bar. You'll get passed up for good looking women every time (unless of course you are a good looking woman). Incredibly annoying, but it's the hot ladies that attract the guys and that's how you get the money.

It really just depends on how busy the bartender is. If the bartender is just visiting with co-workers or friends and is just ignoring, then you just have to get nasty with him or her and it usually works. If not, go to the owner and you will usually get results. But yes, it is annoying when this happens.

What a pain in the ass this can be because it isn't always 'first-come first-serve'. A surefire way to get a drink quick is, if you have a good-looking girl in your group, send her to the bar with the drink orders. (Results vary depending on gender of bar-tender.)
