11/26/2008 | I just got into cigars and Black and milds a year ago, they are my favorite cigars, and believe me I tried some high quality stuff... Personally for the price and flavor you can't beat these. I've been smoking(i inhale them without phreaking) about 5 a day for the past year. my friends say this is bad, but I only say that its a year. I am trying to quit, but its hard. >.<

A strong cigarette contains 1.1 mg of nicotine. A cigar, depending on its size and type, can contain anywhere from 10 to 444 mg of nicotine.
Cigar smoke produces 30 times more carbon monoxide than cigarette smoke.
Cigar smokers have even higher rates of mouth, tongue, throat, and voice box cancer than cigarette smokers do. One study found that 90% of cigar smokers have precancerous changes in cells of their voice box.
People who switch from cigarettes to cigars tend to smoke cigars like cigarettes. They inhale deeply and smoke often – smaller, thin cigars have higher levels of harmful substances than cigarettes. A person who inhales cigar smoke is at greater risk of lung and heart disease than a cigarette smoker is.
A cigar can produce more than 25 times as much secondhand smoke as a cigarette. Secondhand cigar smoke is more poisonous than secondhand cigarette smoke.
The smoke from one cigar equals three cigarettes’ worth of smoke.
A half-ounce cigar can produce 7 times as much tar, 11 times as much carbon monoxide, and 4 times as much nicotine as a cigarette.

I dare you to try to make a blunt out of a CAO cigarillo. CREAM IS THE BEST FLAVOR OF BLACK AND MILDS and they smell amazing. when you smell a cream black and mild you arent sure whether to smoke it or eat it. Either way THEY'RE DELICIOUS!

09/02/2008 | Black & Mild has a variety of flavors now. Most are good, though they don't necessarily bear any resemblance to their namesake. The classic B & M tastes somewhat like licorice and is a bit harsh to smoke due to the paper wrapper and binder and fast burn; in fact, without the tip they would probably be un-smokable.

08/06/2008 | I don't understand all the hate on these things, I love them. They are really smooth to smoke and taste really good. The smoke has a nice, kinda sweet taste to it. Whenever I smoke them I usually just puff them and don't inhale, but sometimes I'll inhale if I want a quick nicotine buzz. I personally like the origional flavor Black and Milds the best.

08/05/2008 | I love Black & Milds! The Original, Gold & Mild, and Creme are the 3 best! Try these 3 and you will never want anything else! Don't inhale them either just chill out and slowly puff on them. There is no need to "Phreak" or "Champ" them if you just puff them. They taste so good! I would like to see some more people try the Gold & Milds to see what they are missing! This is a definite 5 out of 5. They are cheap and taste/smell amazing! You couldn't ask for anything more!

08/05/2008 | I have tried almost all of them. I think the best is original. The apple tastes like fig nutons and i don't like those. The wine is good, but they just don't beat the sweet vanilla taste of original. The only bad thing about them is if you smoke them too fast, they become harsh and pungent. They're best smoked about halfway, and then they get gross. Don't get me wrong. I love them.

07/13/2008 |  I smoke B&M's they are ok i have slowed down alot compared to how much i used to smoke them(about five a day). The thing i really noticed when i found this page was how many people smoke them and how much money "Philip Morris" (the new owners that brought "Middelton" out and the same owners of "Marlboro") has made just off the people on this page. If you take into consideration that everyone on this page has purchased at least one B&M and most of the people on this page have purchased multiple packs of B&M's i think its safe to say that everyone based on averages has contributed at least $5.00 to Philip Morris. $5 x 125 people=$625 which is just this page(per day) not the 1 million plus people that smoke B&M's everyday($5,000,000 a day).
and i just wonder what else could be done with this money?
How much has Philip Morris done to feed and clothe the homeless and hungry. Another sad point is
How many people have told a "bum"(outside the store) they didnt have spare change then when in the store and brought a "black" for $.75 wake up people since when is smoking more important than any mans survival? America is F*cked up and only america can change it just think about it.
P.S. As far as blacks go they r ok i dont know the longterm effects from them(im sure we will all find out sooner or later)but there are more important things to spend money on.

06/24/2008 | Also, I found a better way to freak Blacks. Look it up on Youtube, or try to read my tricky explanation. Keep the wrapper, because you'll ned it. Empty the guts into the wrapper by twiddling the Black into your hand, while submerged inside of the casing. After the ENTIRE thing is empty, carefully take the cardboard out of the leaf wrapping. In some occasions, the paper actually glued onto the wraps seam, and if so, take the filter off and fiddle with the paper until its 100% out (note that the leaf paper is FRAGILE). After the cardboard paper is out, and you had to take the tip off, fill the part where you took the filter off with tobacco CAREFULLY until you can slide it back onto the paper, then stick the burning end into the wrapper, and slowly pack the tobacco in by pouring it and packing with a pencil, or by banging the filter tip onto a hard and steady surface. Make sure you get all of the tobacco as you can into the cigar, while packing every inch or so, and once it's completely filled, light up and enjoy one of the best smokes you'll have in a while. For me, freaked Blacks taste like Blacks and have the feel of smoking as a cigarette, but with a flavor that's pleatent added. Hope this is helpful

04/02/2008 | Black and Milds are probably the cheapest around.
Though they aren't suppose to be inhaled they still are only after being Freaked Phreaked or Champed. This is the process of removiing an inner cardboard paper within the stogie. This cardboard is used to control how fast the cigar burns. After being removed it is said you can inhale them without trouble and the taste is inhanced.
I have done the following and after the work of removing the cancer paper, the cardboard, it is indeed better tasting and hits smoother. I also have to confirm about the burning of the tounge though this can be prevented it makes the black and mild feel cheap.
im a non smoker and have been experiancing with B&M for 3 weeks.
they are crap but are haliarious to have with you.

I've smelt them before they smell bad, maybe you people don't think so because your used to it, but don't think it smells even close to good, i would rather smell rotten eggs, if i smell them i have to open up windows and it's 30 degrees sometimes.

03/11/2008 | I'm a fan. I love the b&m. I switched from cigarettes to black & milds because of three reasons:1) they are cheaper than cigarettes, 2)they don't have to be inhaled like cigarettes, 3) the taste & smell are better than cigarettes.

Being a cigar smoker i've had everything from cubians cigars to tijuanna smalls. But there has never been anything better than a Black & Mild original. I've been smoking them so long I remember when a pack of Black & milds had a big orange sticker on it that said $.89 cents. I'm from mansfield,Ohio. We been smoking Milds since 1990 and were gonna continue striaght ahead.

08/28/2007 | been smokeing them for about 6 years now.. have sen the progression /advent of the apple, cream and now... wine... started w/ the origional B&M's ..then smoked Apples for abit..... as for a pipe tobacco..in a cigar form... is fine w/ me... in traveling around..while in the states they are reasonable in price and farely easy to come by... how ever the newer flavors are harder to come by further from K.o.P., PA you get.. all in all.. and in trying and smokeing many other brands... ill still choose the B&M's anytime im buying my daily smoke's.. favorite flavor ofcourse as it seems to be the smoothest and better of the others in taste is the wine... am really looking foward to future realeases of new flavors.. as i will strongly agree not a real cigar.... but will say his... they are uniqe and of great taste and value for the people who smoke everyday.. thumbs up and keep on inventing John Middleton's B&M....

08/15/2007 | Well I smoke the Wine flavored Blacks now, and they are a lot smoother in feel and taste. I was reading comment earlier saying that they all taste the same but to me they are different. Regular Blacks are too strong to me, they always causes my throat to hurt, the mild Blacks felt like I was breathing in air, the cream and apple felt the same way. But these Wine flavored ones are great. I know that I am addicted to them, i can and have also not smoked them for days at a time, but I can still taste them. I am hoping that me smoking these blacks is not the actual cause of my legs cramping if so, I'm screwed. My Doc said that I may have a blood clot and one of the causes for blood clots are smoking. So I will say this, they taste good, but just be careful, keep yourselves in shape as much as you can if you are going to continue to smoke.

08/14/2007 | i really love black and milds, but honestly why are the different flavors, they all taste the same to me. the other day i bought a pack of gold and milds and honestly they tasted the same as black, but it burned faster it seemed. anyways regular blacks are a really good cigar to smoke in my opinion, and for the most part they are more accepted among non-smokers. the only real problem i have is the fact that i crave these alot now.

08/13/2007 | Great little cigars. They burn really slow and last forever. They last the length of like four cigarettes at least. Really awesome buzz too. They smell great too MUCH nicer smelling than cigarettes. My bro who hates when I smoke cigarettes doesn't mind at all when I light a cream black and mild (my fav. flavor by the way)
The only bad thing is they aren't that durable. It won't survive your pocket even in the box. Also the plastic tip takes getting used to if you are used to cigarettes. Other than that flawless. (Oh they are cheap too.

They are smooth to inhale and give you a perfect buzz and burn very slowly. Only thing that sucks about them is they tend to crush sometimes in your pocket and bend and break off later in the process.

I think these are better than Swishers... Swishers seem to lose their flavor and I'm left just smoking smoke.

05/30/2007 | To answer all of your questions: Smoking one full sized cigar a day is the same as one pack of cigarettes. One Black and Mild a day is a good down size for "wanting to quit" cigarette smokers. They are just as carcinogenic as cigarettes.
I smoke one or two cigars a month. I prefer something I can enjoy. Honestly, I think that B&M's suck. I prefer a good Swisher at a ball game or a Cohiba on the back porch. Seriously, if you really like B&M's, you are missing out on better cigars out there.

03/18/2007 | well i love these lil smokes. I find the cream ones to be delicious with a nice cup of hot tea. These are cigars so they aren't supposed to be inhaled like cigarettes, instead your supposed to let the smoke sit in you mouth then release. Maybe redrapper you inhaled these which gave you bronchitis. idk i like them alot and the taste is wonderful for such a cheap cigar. I would recommend if you don't have money for a pipe like me, or if you want a nice portable smoke.

03/16/2007 | In response to "baggin43", You really do not know what you are talking about. Black Milds are not better for you than anything else you;ll smoke. They are terrible for you. I thought they might be a safer alternative to cigarettes, so I smoked then. Maybe one a day. Turns out, the smoke in a black mild is so much worse for your lungs than cigarettes. After just two months, I developed bronchitis, an early sign of lung cancer. Black Milds destroyed my bronchial tubes. They are good, but terribly unhealthy.

01/19/2007 | Dude. This stuff is sh*t. Look inside: it's shredded cigarette tobacco. The plastic "filter?" Take it off and look inside. There's no filter! It catches some tar on the side of the plastic...that's all! It is definintely *not* a cigarillo. A cigarillo is a small cigar...this is an oversized cigarette with no filter. It's not even wrapped in a tobacco leaf...just colored paper. And wtf is up with gluing the end of the cigarello? Why do you think they call this "Black and Mild?" Look at your tongue after you're done smoking...it's black! Pass on this stuff. It's no good.
