its a defant 0.i bought 450r july2 rode 7 days engine lock.crank pin bearings.replaced and rebuilt engine rode 2weeks same thing.this was a 2004 atv 2009 its been rebuilt 5 times goin on 6.it hasnt been raced or mistreated.still looks brand new. runs excellant when it runs.i havent got to ride hardly at all since i bought it.this time i rebuild it if it starts its sold not rode.get shed of this junk.

HONDA: race it, or chase it!

i am only 15 years old. right now i have a 350 banshee twin cam bored it and stroked it a little. also piped it out. my friend just bought a 07 450r and i rode that thing out on my track in my backyard. which by the way i only have it because everyweekend i hold races out there cause there is no place to ride where i live and i raqce all the time. but that 450r smoked my fastest lap time by 7 seconds. i still got the banshee for the dunes but the next quad that i am goig to buy is definately going to be a honda 450r hands down this quad is PIMP SHIT!!!

I just bought an 07 TRX 450, my Bf tried to convince me to go Yamaha YFZ450 and after taking my honda out the first time I knew I had made no mistake by getting this sweet quad!! the front end feels much more stable than the YFZ, its sits taller and is wider, the ergs also feel much better I am not hunched over with my hands on the handlebars. he has and edlebrock carb and an airfilter and a full akropovic exaust,I am bone stock and in a drag I whoop up on him the whole time till the very end then he passes me.His friend has alot of expierience on quads and loves to Wheelie has ridden everything out there except a honda,untill last weekend I let him take my quad when he came back he said he wanted to get rid of his LTR he said the Honda was the easiest quad to wheelie EVER!! everyone that rode it had something good to say(despite the fact they ride Yams and Suzuki's) the torqe is amazing!! and the color is great...I dont care much for the one head light look but I am starting to get used to it. Honda did a great job with this quad and I would recomend it to anyone who wants a fast, reliable, quality quad! :o)

The Honda 450r need more power and better suspension.

I got to ride my buddies 450R that he has decked out for racing last year, so ergonomic and so much power! An amazing ride and since its from Honda you know its reliability is par none.

Same thing happened to me after about 20 hours of riding....Very frustrating but when fixed and out of shop, it runs strong and great.

i just bought a 07 450r i loved it for about two days. the third day i had it the starter went out that was on a wednesday. i got it back on friday rode it for two hours friday nite woke up saturday morning rode for twenty minites and the crank bearings went out. seizing the whole engine that was two months ago, its been in the shop ever since. i didnt even get the break in oil out of it. yes honda does make a good machine but with a problematic starter, and more and more crank problems appearing by the day, the extended warranty is well worth the extra money. but honda still kicks yamahas ass!!

honda has a winner here!! i added the hrc kit head pipe,cam,rev,etc this bike out runs the yfz and im sure will run like champ for years to come!!

Honda machines are great! I have the entire sport family 90, 250, 300, 400, I just ordered my 450. On the trail, on the sand, high altitude honda's are great!

Well what the problem is is when people forget that there are alot of good bikes out there and all makes and models have there piece of junk but honda has always made good equipment and you get what you pay for.

i got a 2007 450er and it is badass dirt or blacktop trail riding needs to be geared lowwer i've had it a week on the 5/5/07 and i have a oil leak coming from around valve cover i have not looked it over good but its dripping down on the carb i ran it hard for about 8 min.s full blast racing a car but i don't think it should b leaking

I would haft to agree that honda has a nice bike. so props to honda for that. we all know stock to stock yamaha spanks honda. I ride raptor 700 and the only person that i have EVER been beaten by is a honda 450, and it was not stock. But lets all face it, who wants to replace the piston every 6-10 rides? I sure as hell dont, and if your not changing it get prepared to buy a new cylinder wall also cuz its comin for ya. I would of bought the honda if it wasn't for the little piston to improve the stroke and the higher rpms cuz of the light weight.

o ya and wow raptor man is a retard i live close to wynoka oklahoma and go to the dunes all the time (little sahara state park) but my 07 450 has a stage 2 hot cam a NoToil air filter and a rossier exhaust and all i do at the sand is eat ltr's and yfz i have been doin that since i was sittin stock and raptors dont touch me either the only things that beat me on the sand is a yfz once in a while(that have alot more work done then mine) and drg banshees you just cant go wrong with an 07 or 06 honda!!! o ya and if you like jumpin and you buy a ltr 450 just plan on puttin out some bank for the new subframes you will be breakin all the time

I currently have an 07 450 on order and am dying to get it. I have read many reviews, taken some friends quads for spin and come to the conclusion that honda is the route to take. After reading through all of these reviews, these yamaha nuts can't say anything bad about the honda, only that they suck without any information to back it up. All they are giving is their uneducated opinion. Maybe if you guys had actual reasons as to why the honda is lacking, people would take you serious. To all those yamaha people saying honda makes cars and has some $$$ left over to build cars, get your facts straight..... that would be like me saying you guys should buy a piano from yamaha before their quads!!!!!There is a reason honda is the #1 engine manufacturer in the world...

I HAVE AN 07' 450R. I HAVENT'T EVEN GOT 1 TANK OF GAS OUT OF IT YET. I LOVE IT. I HAVE THE RED POWDERCOAT FRAME AND BLACK PLASTIC. IT HAS A VERY NOTICEABLE VIBRATION AT HIGH SPEEDS AND HIGH RPM. ITS MOST NOTICEABLE IN THE FOOT PEGS. IS ANYONE ELSES LIKE THIS?

Ive gone from a banshee, to a 400ex, to a 250R, to a banshee, and just got an 07 450R a week ago, and by far its my favorite bike. surprising when i jumped on it and found it quicker than my banshees. which only have pipes and jets but still it was stock. my 250R is now a 350 and will blow anythig anyone on thispage has now but its not dependable anymore. but still the 450R is an amazing bike, while not as fast at the YFZ stock, it is much more comfortable. Ive ridden all three 450's, and whle the LTR is crazy fast its not too great in the sand. and the YFZ is very tippy it seems, at least for how i ride.[14 years of exp.]

by the way, 2 fast for YFZ: if you have a supercharger, which i wasnt even aware they made, and would want to see it to believe it, AND boondockers nitrous im assuming, and camSHAFT, not shaft[s], since a 450R is a unicam, you should be going alot faster than 98 haha sorry you dont know how to build a bike apparently. if you want 100 miles an hour go buy a banshee you retard itll only take half the money to go as fast.

I just put the HRC kit on my New 07 TRX450R Black. I went to Gordens well Sand dunes (for you who don't know thats a section of the Emperial Sand Dunes Glamis)on 2/24/o7 for the weekend and let me tell you nothing was beating me up comp hill (except the tricked out drag Banshees) I was smokin YZF450's, LTR450R's, Rapter's, Palars Outlaws, Kawasaki 700, with 2nd and 3rd gear starts nothing could touch me that weekend. My boys Yamaha fell apart 1st blew the packing out of his Alba exhaust then sprung a leak in the radiator, then blew some plug at the front of the engine that let tons of sand in. Noone can go wrong with a Honda, I have owned 5 Hondas (04 Recon 250, 04 250ex, 04 400ex, 05 TRX450R, 07 TRX450R and not a one has ever left me stranded or unable to ride, Hondas are the BEST and win the most!

The 450r hauls a$$ kicks a$$ and would leave any yamaha on your trailer! Yamahas suck a$$ and dont last anywhere near as long as a honda

well i race motorcross calss A I Have a Honda 450R Its 2006 got a crank it pipe and a k&n air filter thats it to the motor.. And i have no problem keeping up and beating any outher quad on the track suck as yamahas, and suzukis it runs good. but motor dosnt matter when u dont know how to ride it.

I recently had to rebuild a 2005 450TRX and I would sware the engine was made in China. Not impressed try the Yamaha.

Honda has always been in the top for its ATVs. Becides introducing the first ATV in history and the first four wheel drive utility they are leading the class with their new 4 stroke liquid cooled models. HONDA has one of the most reliable engines weather you have a honda lawn mower, car, truck, generator, and the list goes on to atvs motorcycles and you name it!

P.S. Two of my friends had nice yamahas and both of their engines blew up within the first year that they had them and I have an old 1987 honda 250x that runs awesome.

It's funny that all you dumbshits think honda sucks, i own a 2005 450r full motocross bike and my buddy owns a raptor with over 10 grand in the motor and my 450r wastes his bike by about 5 bike lengths in a race...i have a cam carbon pro full exhaust jet kit pro flow kit and 13.5:1 compression plus 3 long travel up front with elka piggyback quads, lonestar plus 4 axle and the ds650 queers..those bike are a joke...fat boy quads right there slow as hell.

The TRX450R is a beast! Haven't rode in 8 years, got back into it and went big. People warned me to get a smaller machine but there was no way. I would give up my $40,000 Ford F150 Lariat before my modified 2005 TRX450R. Sick speed and power, Love it!

I own a 2004 HOnda 450r with the hrc power up kit and HMF pipe along with it being jetted and has Razr tires,nerf bars One Industries graphic kit,shock covers one industries hand guards. I think this 4 wheeler is awesome. I would recommend someone buying one and trying it out. I don;t hate any 4 wheeler. I like them all I'm just partial to my 450R.

i just got my 06 honda 450r and my brother just got the yzf 450, both brand new and both stock so far...its 2 close a race 2 be decided by the bikes, it comes down 2 the rider but i think yamaha makes a fast bike but a real p.o.s, if u want 2 spend a sh*t load of money to keep fixing your bike, the yzf is 4 u, p.s the trx is a wheele monsterr.....
