i have a ltz 400 with fmf powercore and and 13t sprocet to get some low end but im not here to trash on yamahas. my brother has a bone stock 05 raptor 350. my bike is quicker but before i got mine i rode his a lot. great bikes as long as you do something about the traction with the stock tires. way to much low end tourqe for the stock rubber. i would suggest either holeshots or a bigger front sprocket. deffinately a snappy bike. when you want the power its there or if you want to just cruise down the road you have no problems. yamaha really has something great with the 350. its obvious because they havn't really changed anything about it since it came out!! i want to get my bro a slip on for christmas but not sure the best way to go, any help would be great. thanks!

i own a 08 raptor 350 it is a great trail quad no trouble keeping up in woods(where riding skill come in to play) anyone can ride in a straight line. But people are saying it will do 90 come on it wouldn,t do 90 trown out of an airplanr, stock maybe 65 if you go up one tooth on the countershaft,I went down one so it has more lowend torque(for trail riding) the only problem is the tranny does not like to shift out of rev sometimes installed oil coller much better now like i said good trail machine good torque for the woods topend screamer no.Friends hav mostly 4 wheel drives and bigger displacment quads, i do get stuck in mud occaisionaly but once you learn to stay out of first and just bounce you ass on the rear of the seat i get stuck less often, this motoe is also a lugger not a rver you can lug the motor almost up any hill,For the people with my quad is better than yours GROW THE F!@# UP. what are you in kindergarten the best quad is what you can affors, ride legally and have fun doing it just my 2 cents johnyk

I have a question that will follow my opinion.. i have never a quad before and i just trade my street bike in on a Raptor 350.. wow i went on a 37 mile trail yesterday and not once did i have a problem running down the other quads and at some points when there quads had nothing else to give i still have plenty of acceleration left to rip past them and fling the mudd in there faces, durability is unbelievable at one point ran into a tree and nothing at all happened to my quad my friend ran into the rear of mine with his Polaris 800 with rhino bumper and nothing at all outstanding durability on the 37 mile trail that went up and down hills creeks river beds sharp hairpin turn you name it, it was on this trail. Only thing did not like was my transmission seemed off at times might just take me more time to get used to... Great product no complaints love it glad i sold my bike.Question what is the best and preferred exhaust system for this quad ?

THIS IS THE BEST ATV THERE IS!!! I bought my yamaha raptor 350 used and its an 05 model. Its is crazy fast and powerful. This is the most reliable $ wheeler ive ever boght. Its got me through mud, water and up very steep hills. Sure ive had to be pulled out of some deep mud but who hasnt? If u want a 4 wheeler thats fun to ride, reliable, fast, loud, and just looks cool, then this is the only 4wheeler that i would tell u to get.

i got my raptor 2 months back it is only a 350 but insurance was a killer for a 660 or 700 but i cant believe how well it does, it has been tricked up with lots of aftermarket stuff and does 98mph which i feel is kwik enough because it gets there very very quickly so overall i think its spot on

well the 350 was sold so im looking at this now. anybody have any pointers im paying attention...i havent ridden in 15 yrs. my son races motocross with his dad so i dont get to get involved that much...here it is guys...I am selling my awesome 2002 Yamaha Warrior 350. This is an killer four wheeler. The guy I bought it from set it up for racing but never got her onto the track. I wish I had the list of all the mods, but it was in my computer that crashed and I lost all the details. Here is what I do know. 350 four stroke engine, reverse, HMF pipe, electric start, wideneding kit for a more stable ride, YZF shocks, nerf bars, renthal handle bars, runs great, starts easily and will fly. what u think??????also looking at honda 400ex 2002-2004. but they dont have revers on them... is that a big deal???

1 of de best quads i've ever driven unbelievable amount of power 4 a 350
Calikronik420 02/08/2008
I have had my Raptor 350 since 2005 and this quad can get up and move! for a 350 it has balls, i ridden with banshess with exhaust set kits and intake and also ltz 400's worked up and i can keep up just fine through trails and tight tracks. The only thing this quad needs is better suspension and more top speed, botton end this quad is great for any rider around the 115-160 weight class. there are many aftermarket pipes and jet kits the only thing i cant find is a longtravel kit! i have a yoshi pro comp full system with the gytr intake and jet kit. If anyone knows where i can find a long travel let me know! im a parts guy at a yamaha dealership in cali and i cant find anything....if you need anything else parts fenders access. i can find them let me know - PEACE!

I have a 350 warrior, think it's a 96 or there abouts. Love the size and power to weight ratio. Finally got a new 2006 350 raptor, and almost everything is the same except out of the box it is much more lively. Handles a bit quicker and has so much power I cant keep the tires from roasting all the time. starts in 1/4 second every time. I recommend getting 1-3/4 thick wheel spacersfor the front, about $29.95 as it immproves the cornering and stability. No need to pay a fortune for extended a-arms. I took them off my old warrior and can't hardly ride the old one any more. Guss I'll have to wait till my son grows into it. BTW, a stock 350 Raptor beats the pants off a stock Honda 400. Anyone can beat the other with aftermarket stuff, but why bother/ Want more? get a 700, my brother has one of those.... WIKID! more than I need.
warrior380 12/12/2007
I have a 1991 Yamaha warrior, there is nothing left to be done on it shes maxed out .....I can clean 450r's like they are sitting down and a 700 raptor can get me by about 1 length

RAPTOR 350 :HEY HAVING TROUBLE WITH GEARING REVERSE TO NEUTRAL IN A RAPTOR 350??? ILL SHOW YOU HOW:
FIRST, YOU START IN NEUTRAL, THEN SWITCH TO REVERSE.
WE SHOULDNT HAVE TROUBLE SO FAR OK?
NOW THE TROUBLE IS SWITCHING TO NEUTRAL BACK AGAING.
NOW WHAT YOU NEED TO DO ITS SWITCH TO 1 GEAR, THEN KEEP HOLDING THE CLUTCH AND SWITCHING REVERSE TO FORWARD , SOMETIMES YOU WILL NEED TO BE LETING GO THE CLUTCH AS IF YOU WHERE GOING TO START DRIVIG SO IT WILL BE ABLE TO SWITCH TO FORWARD BACK AGAING OTHERWISE THE LEVELER WON'T SWITCH IFI THE LEVELER STARTS VIBRATING ITS OK JUST PUSH IT ALL THE WAY UP AND FORWARD THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT HOLD THE LEVELER UN AND FORWARD SAME AS SWITCHING TO REVERSE, AFTER YOU SUCCESFULLY SWITCH REVERSE TO FORWARD JUST DO THE GEAR CHANGES AS USAL, HAVE FUN BECAUSE YOU GOT AN AMAZING ATV !!!

Great machine my friend has a 2001 400ex it is piped and jetted with the k&n and white bros.E series exhaust. We ride all the time and the 400 only beat me by 1/2 a length when mine was stock. I think that the 400 has a little more grunt on the bottom but my 350 catches up on the top. Both quads have the same cog ratio's but everyone knows the 350 has that extra gear on the top. Really they where about the same on the power side of things. Now I have piped and jetted mine with the dg rcm 2 and K&N power pack as well as a big gun rev box and changed the front cog up just one tooth this made a big difference in the way this quad performs. The torque is unbeleavable and it gets staight into the mid to top end range. These modifications where pretty cheap to I spent about $400.00 on it all. My friend spent that on his pipe alone. Now he gets beat by 1 1/2 to 2 lengths everytime. My friend cannot beleave that the 350 beats the 400. The point is that in most cases with the right mods and gear ratios a smaller displacment engine can outrun bigger quads. If you take the Hp. you gained and translate that into more top end speed it is easy to win drag races and you can still have that bottom end for the trails. Just don't let locals Know yous secrets and you could win some money. Now as far as trail riding they are about even the 400 is a little smoother but the 350 has a reverse. I think the size of the 400 hurts it it tight spots but in open teritory and on the track gives it the edge on the 350. The reliability has got to go to the 350 like the warrior the whole quad is just bullet proof. The only complaints I have is the out dated chain adjustment and the reverse is a little tricky. I think the only thing that hurts the honda and everyone who has one knows you have to change axle bearings at least once a year. The 300,400,and 250R all have the same problem. Honda fans save yourself the trouble get a lonestar rear end ASAP problem solved bulletproof. These quads are both great and both have there ups and downs so I give both a five star.

Just picked her up yesterday .. MINT .. great smooth power always there when you need it .. good stock tires ... good looks .. ride's KINg ... seems like a great bike so far .. miss the 2 stroke snap tho' oh ya .. all you people playing the pissing game about who is faster number 1 trail are what matters, anyone can go in a strait line! 2 if everyone wanted fast they'd have 660s and 700s .. fucking ride and enjoy it, if you have to justify your bike you shouldn't be riding it!!!
outlawriderz 05/19/2007

This is a fun bike to ride .Lots of power good layout on the controls. The reverse lever is tricky but works fine once you are use to it.Good bike for the money
z440Rider 07/15/2006
I got a z440 (52 HP) and it smokes these 350's by 20 quad lengths or more in a drag, and smokes it on the track too, or even trails, dunes, anywhere! If you have one you should sell it or trade it in and move up to a 400cc or bigger, even a damn 400ex is faster than these, its already been tested, read Dirt Wheels mag or any review thats online! I don't see why people talk so much shit when their quad isn't even that fast (people with 350's).
truth660 05/31/2006
Buy one in you like to constantly work on it. The timing chain is just one of the numerous poor designs of the bike.
hondashitter 05/30/2006
I love my Raptor 350. It beats all hondas, in fact, The other day it had some bad gas and sputtered and coughed and finally shit out a little Honda ex and has run good since.

superman700r 05/15/2006
the 350s are nice all around bike ecspecially for the trails and lesiurley riding. i cant say anything bad about them. i have a 400ex with lots of money tied into it and at the end of te day its still a 400ex. im not running away from anybody to fast with that thing. and mr honda450r with your 9k tied into your bike, bring it out some day and put up against my 700r and well see whose so bad ass.
Raptor Man 04/22/2006
I dont give a crap what anybody says the raptor 350 will walk on any BLOODY HONDA!! Honda makes crap thats all they make. And the ltz barly beets the raptor 350. Great quad!!

I have a 660 and we bot my wife the 350 special edition. Although I like the 350 so much I commonly take it over mine, aftermarket parts are tuff to find. A neighbor kid cracked her grill and front fender, and so far I found the only replacement is Yamaha OEM stuff...

Im 15 years old an di just bought a rotor 350 ... this bike is a great bike .. its great for racing ont eh street and also on a track ... i wiegh about 150 and the only problem with this bike that yamaha should lookinto for there 07 series is there throttle response and there clutch arangment ... i race at the lake county fairs 3 times a year with the 400 handas and i always place ... the problems witht ehre clutch is it is too weak of a stock clutch to have it slips and stalls after about 2 hours of riding .. .and the throttle response is horrible u only get around 3/4 of throttle .... but over all this bike is awsome with the factory 4 system .. tops out at around 70 with K&N , factory four .. and jet kit ...
raptoracechick 350 01/19/2006
My raptor 350 will smoke all your hondas. Raptor engines have alot more power. GET YAMAHA.
