 | Christina7250 (0) 09/24/2008 | grew up in Lutheran church so I know it by heart, but it means more when it isn't a regular part of service every week - beautiful way to pray.

 | lmorovan (19) 04/08/2008 | The most popular of all Psalms, 23 is a great testimony of David about God's love, care, provision and protection.

 | chepopanama (0) 02/19/2008 | Paying close attention to exactly what the 23rd Psalm is saying, we will see that God is reminding us of our close, personal relationship with Him, and that we can rely on Him at all times and in all situations. We (born-again believers)are always in His presence and in His care. 'The Lord is MY shepherd'...(He is MY personal shepherd). 'He maketh me to lie down in green pastures'..(He is personally providing for ME). 'He leadeth ME beside the still waters'....(Me and Him together). 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I
will fear no evil'...WHY? (Because God Himself is with me and He is MY PERSONAL protector.....and yours, too).
In this Psalm we see His love, mercy, grace, provision, security, His faithfulness, His power and authority, and the value He places in each one of us.

 | Molfan (63) 09/05/2007 | i am not a bible expert. I do enjoy some of the passages in Psalms. 23 of course is nice. but a lot of the passages in Psalms are comforting. I have turned to them many times when I need to be reassured in my life.

 | Gentle Jude (25) 03/12/2005 | This is a great chapter because it not only tells us that God will be with us in difficult times or if we are faced with evil, but that God is our good shephard and will provide for us to the point that we shall not want. This Psalm also shows us the love of God and that He wants us to be happy.

 | CherrySoda99 (31) 06/04/2004 | This verse has always been the easiest one to remember for me. I think that it's a comforter, a guide and an all around awesome verse.

 | abichara (66) 05/10/2004 | This is a passage that I never forget about when I'm going through a difficult time. Even though I may walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Fear is an emotion that freezes action and rational thought. This verse tells us that even in the most difficult of circumstances that we simply cannot hide under a rock or ignore the bad things society offers up at times.
