In the fast paced world we live today, we become so overwhelmed that we can't help but worry about a many things. Yet the Lord is telling us not to let our hearts be troubles, but trust in Him, for he is actively building a place for us where we will never have to worry about anything. No medication, group therapy, drugs or alcohol could ever give is any sense of assurance and peace as the Lord can and will. If we trust in Him.

These verses pulled out of the context of Ch 13 & 14, are not speaking about our going to heaven when we die, but about our new access to the heavenly throne when Jesus opens the way for us by His death on the cross; in the here and now while we are alive. This new revelation will be fully realized at Pentecost when The Church of Christ comes into existence with the arrival of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus will come to us and manifest himself to us in a new way though not visibly (14:22). The many rooms (mansions) are the dwelling places of the priests who serve in the earthly temple (soon to be destroyed - Mat 24:2) which corresponds to the heavenly reality. Jesus is going away by means of death to prepare these places for us to perform this heavenly service by means of prayer and worship directly before the throne of God in a new and living way (Heb 10:20). Jesus will dwell in the midst of His people in this spiritual temple of His Body. My Father's House is the abode in which Jesus and the Father will come to dwell, in the temple which is us as we are now connected directly to the heavenly temple through the torn veil (which is His flesh given to death for us - Heb 6:19; 9:3; 10:20). John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

This is an excellent verse because it reassures us that if we love Jesus, we will go to Heaven. Plus there is a popular belief amongst some religious people and even some Christians that there arn't many people going to Heaven because of the fact that the Bible says that many are called but few are chosen. But in this Scripture, it says that there are MANY rooms in my Father's house and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this was not so, I would have told you.
