A cry to the Lord that He may hear our clamor and protect us from our enemies. I like this part:

"I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living."

Clearly those who trust in the Lord and obey His commandments, will see His goodness and mercy here, on Earth, while alive. Very reassuring psalm.

This is a great Psalm because this is where it tells us that David's highest desire in life was to dwell in the house of the Lord and gaze upon His beauty the rest of his life. Plus it shows us that God is our strength and helper and He is rich in mercy. This shows us who we should put our hope in and what our top desire in life should be - to dwell with the Lord and gaze on His beauty. Not be successful in your job or make a lot of money.
