I don't know. She seems to play all types sometimes good, sometimes bad but most often in the harder to define gray areas in between (for instance, Dolores Claiborne).

As I recall, she was absolutely riveting in Misery. That alone merits an above average rating for this incredibly talented actress.

she was downright scarey as Annie in Misery. that scene where she hobbled james Caan's character. I still have to cover my eyes.this is a perfect setup for scarey she is pretty crazy, he is at her mercy. a big fear to happen to someone.
