A huge epic movie that does more to glorify the Klan than anything before or since. Could even be considered a propaganda film to justify the Jim Crow South.

Not exactly politically correct, and I share a lot of the feelings expressed below. However, it is a very well made film, given the constraints of the period, and it's place in cinematic history is deserved.

A modern classic by DW Griffin. This and his Intolerence are the only Griffin movies I've seen. Enough for me.

I agree with the squeamish feeling, this movie offends any person with knowledge of actual history. The only person who could enjoy this movie would be somebody who could enjoy Nazi propaganda from World War II. It is that objectionable and disgusting.
