At this point in time, we would be looking for the third Beatle.

Billy Preston is the one I've always heard being called "The Fifth Beatle", so I'm a little surprised he's not on the list. Was it his part in "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" with the Bee Gees and Peter Frampton that eliminated him?

Derek Taylor was the Liverpool journalist who first started covering the Beatles and was then hired by Brian Epstien to become their Press Agent. He masterminded most of the promotional activities that were the "Beatlemania" period, including the Beatles Are Coming campaign prior to the first Ed Sullivan show and the memorable press conferences that resulted in so many of the off the wall exchanges between the band and amused reporters.

Yoko Ono, since she made the most magnificent service to music out of all of them in splitting them up...

Surprised no mention of Billy Preston yet, he got credit on the #1 smash "Get back". Awesome keyboardist. RIP.

Ringo was the 5th Beatle - since Pete Best was there before him - making Pete technically the 4th.
