If you get to the point where being reconciled with God is a matter of common sense, then you might become an Intellectual Christian. But unless you get to have a relationship with God, even if it goes against common sense, than you become reconciled with God. Never trust common sense when spiritual issues are concerned.

The problem with common sense is that its not "common"

And if by which is intended "logic" this makes no sense at all.

Er... is this not a reason not to be "reconciled"? Common sense would tell me that I was not placed on this earth by a friendly super being who loves me but will still send me to roast eternally if I don't agree with him.

Logically, this would be a very good reason to be reconciled to God but practically, you can't discover God with your own intellect. God has to reveal Himself to you before you will discover Him.
