04/23/2008 | You don't realize being good is not enough, you read in the Bible that God says being good is not enough. and the sooner you realize that, the sooner you can do something about it.

03/12/2005 | This is a good reason because it shows God that you recognise your need for Him. All over the Bible, it says that we are saved by grace, which is a gift and not by your works, so that no one can boast. Since we all fall short of the Glory of God, there is no way anyone could go to heaven based on their goodness. Even Jacob, after being a bit of a lier, because he put his faith in God, he was fully justified and was one of the most righteous men to have lived. Even in the old testimate days, it was still by faith that you were really saved, although you had to also keep the law.
