Not so bad if used with condoms, gives a little more security, but they can be messy.

Not to be used alone, but I really liked the convienence of the VCF- vaginal contraceptive film. Super discrete- no messy lube to stick up there. And it acts (if used right) as an additional barrier over the cervical opening.

Who wants to coat their genetalia with toxic chemicals? Oh,the companies claim their products are safe,but if it kills sperm,it's not very friendly toward sensitive tissue,either.Besides,condoms are more effective at both preventing pregnancy AND the spread of STDs,which spermicide does NOT prevent.

horrible messy itching burning tore apart feeling from all those chemicals flooding the vagina. Usually loaded w/nonoxynal 9 which increases the transmission of HIV. Not good!

Used WITH another form of birth control, like a condom, it will reduce the chances of getting pregnant even more.
