Story of the Year can suck my big fat ****!

I agree totally with memorial.I think they are a great band and i really like there songs but it is true no they really arent emonope sorry StoryOfTheYear you didnt cut it.

I agree with maersky in that Story of the Year shouldn't be labeled an emo band. True emo is completely different. It started back in the mid-80's by people who grew tired of playing hardcore punk, and it sounded nothing like Jimmy Eat World or Weezer or anything else that's now labeled emo. Story of the Year, are, however, a melodic, driving, powerful band. There's not that much separating them from the current crop of non-emo bands like Taking Back Sunday or The Early November, but I wouldn't call their music bad really. The lyrics tend to be too reminiscent of a pre-teen LiveJournal, but the music is very good (albeit not very challenging). If you want something you'll get sick of quickly but you'll enjoy in the process, Story of the Year may be right up your alley.

I love Story of the Year! They are my 2nd favorite band next to CKY. They are sooo cool.
