Remember that old adage of "guns don't kill people, people kill people"? Whose evil here, the drink or the driver? I do actually support the regulation of fire arms, but I also support the regulation of alcohol, so it works out. I've met people with three DUI's. Maybe it's the court system that should be questioned.

There is no doubt that drinking alcohol and driving is a horrible crime. This is one crime that I think they need to be more strict about. Not only should the perp get placed in jail for months on end after the FIRST offense, they should also be caned in the city park where they commited crime for all to see. I am so tired of seeing babies and other innocent people getting killed at the hands of a drunk driver...

I remember a little girl got killed in the next town over. Right near the post office. Drunk driver got her.

I don't think alcohol by itself is bad, it is people's lack of responsibility and self-control. That said, this is a sore point with me because I have a growing list of friends and acquaintances, fine and decent people, killed by drunk drivers.
