Well, you would think after a while it would go with out saying.

Why not skip this and get straight to the marriage part: "Would you pick up the damn phone already?!"

DUH. Naturally you'd recognize their voice unless you're a total moron.

Better make sure you're the only one in her life. Otherwise Dan down the street might get the call back instead and then you're left wondering what happened.

Being able to identify a lover's voice without any hints is a pretty cool thing, but it's even better when you can communicate with each other without saying a word (like the exchanging of knowing glances and grunting or making other noises to express oneself while the other understands. For me, I grr a lot and kind of squeak when I'm surprised; my sister, I found, similarly says meep when she's unhappy with something. Communications between couples can be interesting.)

This is no big deal. You can still be at the friendship stage of a relationship and be able to instantly recognize a voice without leaving the name. Or maybe I'm just not into these types of subtileties.

Seems insignificant but it's not. I've definitely gotten that message for the first time before and thought to myself Oh, so THAT'S where we're taking this thing...

Not really a big deal. I think I say that with most every one.
