Gets the most out of his players, and seems pretty adept at making do with the limited budget of a small market team. Seems to be a competent tactician, and I would rate him as one of the top managers in the American League.

A mostly "let the players do their thing" guy. Not really good managerial material, but I guess you have to trot somebody out there.

As the Twins are my favorite team, I have to give Ron 5 stars because of his ability to bring a team with a low salary to the top of the Central Division 3 years in a row. If not for the White Sux, err, Sox, it would've been four. Hopefully we can make the wildcard.

Only been in the post season his first three years in the bigs in a small market town with a very modest payroll. Come on people cough it up.

If you look at the Twins' roster, they're not exactly a great team. They've been winning because of Gardenhire.

Has proven to be one of the best already given the limited payroll he has to work with. Does a great job with young talent and has kept the Twins near the top.
