Francona is horrible. He has no plan and worry's about the players feelings too much. He is blessed with talent.

A barely adequate manager. Doesn't get the most out of his players. As true in most cases today, the inmates are running the asylum

Might be better if he gives up his night job playing the piano for David Letterman.

I'm not a Francona fan at all. He does a poor job managing his pitching staff and sometimes he is way too loyal to players who just aren't producing. He does do a nice job managing the personalites on his team and most of the time he'll put his players in the best position to succeed when it comes to writing the line-up out.

Terry Francona, well, he was lucky he inherited such a good red sox ball club, i meen they have David Ortiz who is coming off a break out season Manny Ramirez who has always been good Curt schilling probably the best free agency move in the last decade and Pedro martinez, quite frankly thats all you need. They have the 2003 batting champ bill mueller Jason Varitek now the official captain kevin millar how is no all star but will get the job done, i meen the whole starting 9 is unbelievable then they have a very strong bench in youklis, personaly i tihnk i could have managed this team to the worldseries and im only 16. Francona is lucky he has such a gutsy ball club and will play every game untill the end. As long as Francona keeps the sox winning, i'll keep him here.

Got a bad rap in Philly. A good manager.

Hey, he's the one wearing the ring today, because The Boston Red Sox have won the World Series!!!! So what if they brought him in because he's Schillings friend? It worked, didn't it?

he may have had his ups and down but he certainly ends his superb season on a high note

the curse has ended. for the first time in almost 30 years, baseball season has ended on a happy note for me. boston red sox, 2004 world champions has a nice ring, eh?

Seems shaky to me. The Sox seem to have clawed back in the ALCS despite his managing, not because of it... he's making some gutsy calls, but a lot of them are bombing. Damon getting thrown out in Game 6 with a good bunter up and Manny and Ortiz coming up... taking Schilling out today...leaving Varitek in to catch Wakefield... sending Ortiz to steal... lots of head scratching stuff in my book. To his credit, Wakefield was a good call and Foulke has held up under the heavy workload. I'll guess we'll find out how good this guy is in the next couple days.

The Red Sox have been okay this year; and so has Francona.
