Well if your having problems with changing the belts you must be an idiot. I have had surgery on both hands. I can change out any part of my Kirby with ease. I've had my Gen 3 for 13 years and guess what I might change the belt once a year. By the way not because its broken either. Just regular matence. Everything needs regular Care. Sounds like buyers Remorse. If that's the case. Then that's not the Kirbys fault either. Its a great piece of equipment!! Most people are smarter than the machine.

Changing the belt is very difficult. I read the instructions in the www.kirby.com FAQ section ... over and over. I STILL can't get the friggin belt on!!! WTF?!? Replacing the parts for a vacuum should not be so hard to do, right?? I could rebuild my computer (and have) with more ease ....... grrrr.
I give it 2 stars because if I don't get the belt on, it's not fully functional, as while the hose attachments can work if I want to drag this ridiculously heavy vacuum around, the upright features can't be used. KIRBY sucks, and not in a GOOD way.

the kirby is terrible....it cost to much and works the same as any $30 vacuum

I LOVE my Kirby, I love the drive option, it practically vaccuums for you. I have owned mine over 10 years and haven't even considered buying anther brand. My mom owned a Kirby (maroon colored) and it still works, she has since upgraded. I grew up w/ Kirby, I'll grow old w/ Kirby.

kirby is the most advanced cleaning system that is so easy to use I have saved time energy and money by owning one of these. Next time the kirby guy knocks on your door buy it . You wont regret it.

This vaccumm really has problem with belts. I would never buy a vaccumm that sales Rep is giving you extra belts cause he knows they would break. This vaccumm is very heavy.
