There comes a time when a great television series graces our presence and Prime Suspect is one of those shows. Inspector Jane Tennyson is one of the great characters in television history. Helen Mirren is simply amazing. She takes this role and defines it as her own.

Well crafted dramas with Helen Mirren as the protagonist. She is intense in the character. I like the underlying plot that carries over from show to show as well as the action of each individual show.

Helen Mirren does a supurb job playing flawed, but highly capable Detective Inspector Jane Tennison. Working long hours... distracted by her own personal and professional problems... Jane skillfully solves grisly, complex murders. I enjoyed every episode...

Helen Mirren's portrayal of Inspector Tennison is absolutely riveting.   If you watch the all shows sequentially, you'll be mesmerized by her character's slowly crumbling defenses.

Ah . . .wonderfully brilliant Helen Mirren! What more can I say. After all, as an ace P.I. menopausal detective - more power to her!
