I come from this part of the planet and slightly disagree. . .I don't like Cheeseteaks as drunk food. . .I love them as sober food.

Too messy. . .grease gets on your fingers (which by now are numb anyways). . .I guess I'm in the minority, but I like my 'steaks whilst sober.

I usually consume cheesesteaks sober, although I wouldn't be against a drunk one. A good rule is that if its bad for your arteries, it would probably taste even better while drunk.

Both the Philly cheesesteak and it's Chicago cousin the Italian beef (which is more readily available at the little carts outside the bars around here) really hit the spot. And considering they park those little carts right outside the bars, they can sell them for a good $2 or $3 more than you'd be willing to pay for them sober.

The Philly Cheesesteak is proof that God loves us...

Drunk or sober, doesn't matter, this is the best sandwich in the country.

When you're drunk (or otherwise) in Philly, Pat's is somehow easy to find. If they offer you a bib, it's an editorial comment, not a prima facie offer.
