Maybe. I think he's a certainly a loud-mouthed, not overbright jerk, and he may be a bigot or a racist. On a sidebar, this guy hasn't pitched in the majors in two years, and hasn't been effective in four. Makes this list kind of old news.

I suspect he was led to believe that he could speak freely, then was betrayed. Most people know that there is no sportswriter, or almost any member of the press, whom you should trust as far as you are able to throw them (and the horse they rode in on).

John Rocker said nothing racist or bigoted. I unfortunately have to ride the subways to work everyday amidst the dirt and scum that inhabit the railways. Yes there are AIDS infected homosexuals who contracted the disease engaging in licentious behavior. Yes there are welfare mom's who have 6 kids with filthy clothes and 6 different fathers. Yes there are guys with green hair and no jobs. That is reality.
