He was okay, I never quite understood why showed up, though. Kermit didn't seem to make a big deal about having a nephew. He was just kind of there.

Robin was pretty lame. They usually do this on sitcoms, bring out some little kid (usually with a godawful bowl cut) to milk some more laughs and sentimentality long after the show had run out of steam. But The Muppet Show did not need this kind of thing. The muppets were still good. We already knew that Kermit was a sensitive, responsible fellow, so we didn't need to see him taking care of his nephew. His songs were pretty sappy too. He should've ended up on some Frenchman's plate.

I even hated Robin when i was little, whenever he came out, that meant there was gonna be some heartfelt song, instead of the regular muppet mayhem!
