Tom Verica (Jack Pryor) was the dad of the show who although he had the typical 1960 male mentality was still a good and loving Father. He had a moral struggle in his role as a City Commissioner but was able to make things right after an initial bad decision that he made out of desperation.

Very good actor. Has a great build but was never allowed to show it off on the show.

He makes me so mad sometimes, but he's just a dad in the 60s trying to do the right thing for his family and make ends meet. He loves his wife and kids, and it would be heartbreaking if the writers ever decided to write in some sort of affair. Jack Pryor would never do that.
