If Steve Lawrence married Idi Amin, we'd still have Steve and Idi..............

I think this is a 'hated topic' of sorts. This racist got away with killing lots of people, and I mean lots. He did in pretty strange and cruel ways as well. I think his story is about 'wrongful reward'. When he got the boot, he spent the rest of his life living comfortably in Saudi Arabia while his countrymen suffered.

I don't think he recieved many mourners at his funeral.

I don't know if I 'hate' Idi Amin, never having known him nor come into contact with his evil crimes. He did commit evil crimes however, and was an all around bastard. He had innovative ideas concerning the punishment of criminals, such as giving a pair of sledgehammers to two condemned prisoners and offering a pardon to the one who isn't dead. There were various reports of cannibalism and syphilis-induced insanity as well. An interesting bit of info: Amin is still alive (or very recently dead) and spending his last years in lavish comfort in Saudi Arabia surrounded by four of his wives, giving the rest of us yet another reason to detest that country.
