Aspirin upsets the stomach and aggravates the symptoms of a hangover. Tylenol when mixed with the alcohol still in your bloodstream, might cause your liver to explode.Don't take headache medicine before you go to sleep, take aspirin when you wake up.

This works like a charm! Also when you have to get up during the night, pop in a couple more. That should do the trick.

I used to do this in combination with drinking as much water as possible, and it helped, but it's not a cure-all. You'll still feel crummy the next day if you consume as much booze as I used to do in my partying days. In years gone by, I'd take a pain killer (prescription, opiate-based variety) the next day if the hangover was still intense, but the possibly toxic effects of this on my liver scared me away from doing it too often. In recent years, I've dramatically decreased my intake of alcohol, because it seems to affect me more adversely the older I get, and I do feel much better because of it. Still, I do occasionally have my weak moments, and when I do, I'll still take my aspirin-and-water before sinking into an alcoholic slumber.

Aspirin as hangover prevention is a bad idea. Aspirin and alcohol don't mix well, and for many will make the stomach upset. That said, taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) with liquor is much worse. Unless you want serious liver damage, remember that Tylenol and booze do not mix at all.

Regardless of whether it works good or not, I heard this is extremely hard on your liver when you mix it with alcohol. Don't know if it is true however. Besides, I prefer taking a percocet the next day...forget the aspirin !!!
