Antonio Tarver is completely overrated all he is doing is living off roy jones name he only beat him cause roy was past his prime tarver is good but not dominate over the light-Heavyweight division like he says because he lost to Harding,Roy Jones when he wasn't 100% and as soon as he beat Jones he lost to Glenn Johnson and now he's acting like a coward by not accepting lacy's challenge cause he knows he will get ko'd.

I think the dude has actually got skill, c'mon, luck ain't the reason he became successful..He's a hard worker dedicated to the sport...But we must watch out and not jump to conclusions, saying this guy is one of the best...I am a Roy Jones fan but I got to give it up...Tarver has the perfect style to give Roy problems...But he is not even close to accomplishing half the things Roy has done for the sport of boxing. The hype is on Tarver right now and it will be good to see what he could do to create a legacy for himself at the age of 35...I like Tarver because he proved that boxing is a very unpredictable sport. He talks a whole lot and has backed it up...But all that yappin may backfire on his ass one day..

Time will tell if he's as good as he thinks he is. Lets see what he does in the next couple of years. I think he can beat Jones again, but let him prove it. Jones deserves, at least, that much.

The so-called Magic Man is a good fighter, not a great one. Just because he happened to catch RJJ by surprise does not make him great. Does anybody consider Oliver McCall, Hassim Rahman, and Buster Douglas great too? NO!!! One fight does not make a fighter great (by the way Roy WON the first fight). And by the way everybody quit HATTIN' on Roy, he's not washed up, he's not overrated and he doesn't have a glass jaw. Anybody (including the current heavyweights)caught with that same punch Tarver threw, would have been knocked out.

He did a tremendous job against Roy Jones Jr. He showed us that Roy has a glass Jaw. Tarver is a great fighter.

tarver is the stereotypical boxer today: fights southpaw (cuz he thinks hes so damn technical), boxes carefully, talks far too much trash, and just happend to be in the right place at the right time. i must have seen his KO punch of roy jones at least a dozen times in slow motion in every angle and ill tell u this: THAT WAS NOT A PERFECT PUNCH. it clipped jones shoulder and just barely got jones on the chin. why jones decided to lay down and lose: i dont know. however, that punch wasnt lucky either. tarver caught jones by suprise. thats just it: suprise. if jones could beat him while jones had a tooth ache, then jones could beat him if roy trained his ass off. roy jones sux, but at least hes better than tarver.

Tarver is pretty good, but I feel he caught Roy with a lucky shot.

Antonio Tarver couldn't stop talking about how he beat Roy Jones in their first fight, even though Jones controlled at least two minutes of every round. He needs to establish a track record of fights with similar results to the one-punch kayo of Jones in their rematch and the kayo of Eric Harding in their rematch after losing their first fight with broken ribs.
