Where's The Weather Underground in the list? I may have missed it... or at the very least a section on Domestic Terroristics?

Although even the very worst of people are occasionally capable of making valid points, and this has existed since the beginning of mankind, and everyone has a breaking point, there really is no excuse whatsoever for these atrocities, even if one agrees that the line between terrorists and national heroes can be a very fine one.

A Terrorist is as a Terrorist does:when innocent people are killed,that is Terrorism.Whether done with box cutters,homemade pipe bombs or million dollar "smart" bombs it's all the same:MURDER.

The threat posed by terrorists, a very significant one, has been misconstrued by the media and politicians. First off, lets look at their immediate motivations. A terrorist attack by its very nature is a media event. No terrorist out there really believes that knocking down a few buildings and killing some people are going to change a government's basic policies. Indeed what gets blown up or who gets killed isn't very important to them. What is important to them is media attention. Terrorists want to send a message out to potential recruits that a much larger enemy can be hurt. When the media re-plays the gory images associated with terrorist attacks, theyre actually playing right into their hands. With the rise of a 24 hour news cycle, you see the same images being re-hashed over and over again. Sticking with the modern media for a second, they are all about selling stories, not actually reporting the facts. Like reality TV, if it bleeds, it leads. There's a difference between a report and a story. A report simply states the basic facts: who, what, where, and how. A story requires a plot and some drama; they will drag it out, replay the attacks over and over again, put on self-proclaimed experts, interview witnesses or even those who were not witnesses. It' a lot of cheap talk, to the point that it's nauseating. Ironically what would frustrate the terrorists is not giving them such a platform. How about the threat that they pose? Yes, they are a threat, but mathematically, it's not nearly as high as many would have you believe. You're in greater danger of being run over by a bus than by being a victim of a terrorist attack. In 2001, 3,000 people were killed by terrorists; 12,000 were killed by homicides, 100,000 were killed in accidents and another 2 million died of natural causes. While I'm not downplaying any of these deaths or even their causes, it's fair to state that there are many other things that can kill you. The best way to avoid becoming a victim of a terrorist attack is simply not being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Indeed, most of us will be at another place when it happens, guaranteed. Reality is that a few terrorists have given rise to massive new public and private industries in this country. Politicians based entire campaigns on it, new experts are seeking to explain it, the media is fascinated by it, and the bureaucracy has expanded ten-fold over this. Indeed every single law-enforcement agency, especially those who don't really need it, is attaching themselves to this gravy train of appropriations. But of course, it's all a scam. The best way to avoid domestic terrorism is to reduce illegal immigration to this country, over 1 million strong last year. Our borders are far too porous. The airport security and other peripheral measures the government has taken only seek to give people a false sense of security. These methods are hardly effective. What does this all mean? At the end of the day we shouldn't let anyone scare us into submission, whether it is the terrorists themselves, the government or the media. Fear debilitates judgment; it seeks to control the individual. A free society shouldn't be sacrificed for a false sense of security.

Terrorists (by their own def.) do not negotiate they kill at will with all in the surrounding area termiated as well. Let's get basics out: You cannot negotiate with them, sadly all that can be done is put them out of there misery. If they were willing to do it any other way they would not call themselves by this name. They leave folks that do not want to be killed few choices as to how to deal with them. Also, you cannot ignore them and they will go away or cease efforts: they will invade your space and kill many innocent folks. Again, few choices in dealing with terrorists. In my book anyone labeling themselve as such: has just declared there own life sentence or death warrent. As long as they are free to move about in the world we cannot apply logic to any decent protection. Kama- kasi kids getting on airliners etc. planning on going to Heaven, with a bomb strapped to their body. Let's get honest about this: These folks are hate groups announcing they will kill their targets. If a USA cit did that we'd lock them up and more. I also like the idea of sending them all to a barren planet to do each other in - not poss now though. Terrorists are declaring: We are going to kill you, wherever you are... Seems pretty clear to me, so what don't some folks understand about Terrorists? You want to invite them for tea and polite discussion....First let's make folks afraid to even declare themselves as such...beacuse if you are not a Terrorist - just may be we can have choices ...like diplomacy.
