To be honest, I liked Next Generation, more than the original.  Also Picard is one of my favorite Star Trek captains.

Very intelligent show. Well written and good cast.

This ended up being a great follow up to the original series. It took awhile at first. I think the early seasons were weak. As the series went on , the characters developed and the storylines evolved, it became a great Trek series. It also ended at just about the right time.

Definitely my favorite Star Trek series. I could never get into the original (Shatner annoys me) and the others (DS9, Voyager, etc) never appealed to me as much. I loved everything about this series. Excellent cast and storylines. Picard was an awesome captain.
