As it relates to imesh, it does take awhile to logon, it also freezes up when you attempt to preview your song selection. All in all I have found it to be good for new music in the discovery section. I enjoy using imesh.

There is not as many users on this engine compared to Kazaa or WinMX. However, it's still as effective.

I like the client ImesH but for one thing it has a big memory leak and it cuts down the rsources to about less than 40% when used and if you preview the files it tends to lock up my dell dimension computer. I also noticed the memory leak to be even worse overtime and it one day reduced the resoucres to 12% after I closed it! It ihas basic serach capablites and it doesn't tell the song lenth it just tells the file size. The music community is smaller than Music city and kaaza! but sometimes ImesH has files Kaaza don't and Kaaza has files ImesH don't have. I use both for maxiumum chances of getting the song i want. compared to Kaaza, the transfer speed of Imesh is slower and it can't download off of multi-users like Kaaza. I do recommend it for all you who can't get kaaza or who want an altenative choice.

Although it often takes forever to log get logged on and it often kicks you off I still think this is one of the best sites for Music, etc. out there. Especially now that Scour has shut down their Sharing Servers so now you can only search through their website and no longer pull things off other users hard drives. I've also noticed that more often than not I hook up with another user at a lower speed than I did on Scour which just means it takes a little longer to download. All in all I think it is a great resource and a pretty user friendly site. It's no Scour but it's pretty good.

I dont' think this service is as good as Napster and Scour but it's a resource I use occasionally. One of the biggest problems for newcomers is that the sites search capabilities are constantly down. I've been checking back for about two months and the site continually gives you a "We are currently updating" message when you try and do a search through the site. The thing to do is download the software and share files that way, in fact I'd say recently it's the only way!
