Well yes, he did have a clear message. "My fellow Americans, I am a complete mope!"

The only clarity he has offered up is the hatred he feels for Bush, stoking up the hatred in the true, blue liberal fanatics. But his election will send a very clear message that won't be misinterpreted . . .

Well, when your on record of changing your position on thirty five different issues, your clarity is going to be, well, not so clear! I wish I could understand where Kerry's coming from, but not even JOHN KERRY knows where he's coming from!!

Unfortunately, I must agree with Abichara that Kerry has no clear message, except I'm not Bush. That's fine for someone like me who is a yellow dog Democrat and is appalled by what Bush has done in the last 4 years. But there a lot of middle-of-the-roaders who might be willing to give Kerry a chance if they had some idea of what the man stood for. He lets himself get drowned out by his opponents, and hasn't fought back aggressively enough. When Clinton was attacked by opponents, he always hit 'em back, to quote him. Unless Kerry does a fantastic job in the debates and makes Dubya look like an idiot, I don't think Kerry will win.I just hope Kerry isn't too cocky about facing Dimbulb Dubya in the debates. I'm not one of Dubya's fans, but even I can see that the man functions pretty well under pressure.

If Kerry loses, it will be because of his lack of any coherent message. Kerry's problem is that he has allowed the Bush campaign to define him--thus he's still playing Bush's game rather than break out with his own message. That was the strength of Howard Dean's candidacy, with him, we all knew that he had a solid message and a tenable critique of the Bush administration's policies, both foreign and domestic. Only now has Kerry began any kind of a systemic attack on Bush. The only message Kerry offers is that he'll return the country to those halcyon days of the Clinton administration. Even though Clinton never had a specific message, he did have the charisma to be re-elected. Kerry lacks that, so he has to find a message and stick to it. Bush, for all of his weaknesses, delivers a crisp message that appeals to many people. Kerry can do this, he has so many issues to work with. In short, Kerry needs to deliver a concise message on why Bush should not get another 4 years without descending into minutia, which is his tendency.

He has a message? That's news to me! If you look at every one of Kerry's speeches, you will find lots of propaganda and anti-Bush messages, but you will not find any clear statements of future policy. What exactly is his more proactive, more sensitive war on terror plan? How does he plan to improve the economy? And, how in the world does he plan to get other nations on our side when they don't want to BE on our side?

He only wants to condemn what George W. Bush has done and not comment on his Senate Record. The kicker is a ,527, comes out, better than all of his combined ,and he wants,Bush, to get rid of it. I guess the truth really does hurt doesn't it? What I want him to do is to re-publish the book he wrote about Vietnam, and let us question him about what he wrote in there. It looks like he has a whole lot more to hide than he would let you to believe. I would like him just to answer why he won't let anyone even touch the cover on that book? He is nothing but a two-faced,flip-flopper!

All Kerry does is slam Bush without giving clear alternatives on how he would do things better. Listening to him depresses me. Edwards should be running for President.

The best hope the Republicans have. A bit muddled on both foreign policy and trade. For Iraq now against it, for free trade now not so sure. Still Bush is a bigger flip flopper than Kerry, which should be Kerry's response and I think it will be. Remember Mr. Free Trade slapping that idiotic tariff on steel? And whatever happened to the president who wasn't going t get us involved in nation building?

Well be fighting for good paying jobs and to make health care a right for all our people. Well be fighting to build a strong military and lead strong alliances, so young Americans are never put in harms way because we insisted on going it alone. And well be fighting for an economy that lifts up hard working families, because we know we can do better and with your help, we will. - John Kerry. Sounds like a clear message to me!
BIGBABY 07/10/2004
He doesn't. His hole attitude on the election is just to defeat Bush. Its not at all about that, folks. Its about the American public. Does anyone know exactly what Kerry will do when he's President? He has no plans or ideas on any of the issues. He does have a clear message- anybody but Bush-but that is not the correct message to be sending.

Kerry will defeat himself, give him time.

He seems to be all about what is wrong with everyone elses work...He is ambiguous at best (putting his voting track record with what he says...).Better speaker than Bush but hasn't given us much of meaning yet. If he wants to be a serious contender: Let's hear is what i would do with Iraq situation rather than sitting in a Cowards armchair waiting for people to falter so he can slide in on...the opening. Bushes speaking skills are terrible at best, but do not confuse a good show from a good job done. Actors get paid big money for the first. Sorry but he looks like a horse (and insult to horses...)...and talks like a parrot. If he is going to act he needs a better script - like one he can really sell. I'd give him a carrot. I think he is doing a good job of defeating himself, with the smarter voters. Can't get in without your own agenda. If you get the job - you are going to have to get your own (consistant) ideas. If you have some now would be a good time to let us know. I will listen. So far the sounds of silence... are not in your best interest. Only works in Hollywood.
