It is really beautiful up there. Its out of the way but worth it. Not as many rich folks up there either, you can eat out without spending an arm and a leg.

Bad year for day trippers.... The parking and bus stops are nearly out of reach for children and the less than those in the best of health.

No lift lines! Plenty of beginner and intermediate runs plus a great kids' program. Additionally more extreme skiing than any other place in North America. Not a plastic town full of gapers, not a rip-off in the retail/rental departments, great restaurants and a genuine old mining town to hang out in. A little harder to get to than those places close to the Denver airport, but that's why it's such a nice change. (Easy to drive to as well.)

The Butte is the sickest mountain in rado. Anyone who thinks diferently can suck it.
