the icon of sin: Do you REALLY think that it was only Phil Collins who moved Genesis music from prog to pop music? What about Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford? Tony and Mike made most of the tracks!

Phil's Drumming With Early Genesis and Brand X (check out the album "Unorthodox Behaviour") is amazing. Watch out Billy Cobham!

Phil Collins to me is one of or nt the best drummer I ever seen playing left handed. He was awsome on the We Can't Dance Tour with Genesis. The Drum Duet he did with Chester Thomson there drummer when they or phil tours was awsome. Yes he does deserve it in my book.

Gotta hate what he did to Genesis but the fact can't be avoided that he was a superb drummer (especially in the much better Gabriel era of the band).

Obvious choice for UK drummer - plus he sings and writes.
