a basin is great for the the advanced and intermidiate rider. they have short but fun and steep trails. nice terrain park to, but not the greatest.

I'll be honest...it's one of only two ski resorts i've been to, but it was totally awesome skiing in street clothes. i didn't need to bundle up at all because i was skiing in late May. totally rad. but sperryc is right about the sun. wear sunscreen! i didn't put any on my neck and the sun reflecting off the snow burned me so badly i couldn't turn my head the rest of the night. for the first two weeks of summer i told people i was suffering a massive deformity on my neck, til it finally went away.

Arapahoe Basin 3

The highest ski area in the U.S. Has the first and last snow, but runs are not long and the scenery bland. Can be cold and windy at times when moving downhill to other spots makes sense. It is easy to get to tho and not as big and busy as other places.

Because of its high altitude, Arapahoe Basin is a resort you can enjoy late into the spring. I will never forget how cool I thought I was as a 13-year-old, skiing in a t-shirt and jeans. (I'll never forget how sun-burnt I got either.)
