Certainly more skilled than many on this list, especially Billie Joe Armstrong!

Slash just don't impress me, until he makes a killer instrumental album, he never will. He is just a big fat image, with a Gibson, that played in  popular bands. Guitarist like Matthew Mills, Al Estarda, Joe Stump, Angelo Batio,Theodore Ziras, could grind Slash into powder.

Slash is without doubt the Guitar god of our generation.  Has the love of his fans and respect from his peers.  Has shared the stage with many guitar legends and made his mark.  The Songs from GNR's Appetite  for Destruction Are an education in Guitar playing in themselves...Sweet chil o' mine apart from the instantly recognisable riff has loads going on amazing work.

He has played with artists like Michael Jackson, collaborated on the classic Always On the Run with Lenny Kravitz and is currently rocking out with Duff and Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver.

Check out his trademark version of the Godfather theme and his playing on Hey Joe at the British rock hall of fame for examples of his playing.  Plus with his trademark look is instantly recognisable... looks cool as....and works that stage when he is playing runs around and spins round u can see he LOVES playing.   

I doubt if he'll want to make UK tremble since he is from there!!!!
