Good lyrcist; horrible, horrible performer; way too inside his own head. He should have stuck to poetry rather than music and performing.

God no! Am I the only person who finds this pontifficating old man a complete idiot? I hate his music and he is certainly not worthy of a place in the RNR hall of fame!

His voice is not pleasant but otherwise, oh my. He would get a 5 for writing.

Heralded, songwriter, underrated performer. His influence to contemporary music is unrivaled. Even those who can't stand Bob Dylan have been positively affected by his contributions in one way or another- if they listen to music at all.

Bob is one of the best guitar players, especially on acoustic, the way he can tune up in a non-existing chord to match every detail of the song with picking the right string at every right time and the way he can phrase every word just before or after the beat to emphasize the meaning of it, Dylan is a top songwriter, a top musician and a top singer. Plus he knows all there is to know about the musical history and tradition that he is (still) working in.

I would give him a five if his job was writing lyrics because he is one of the best in American history, but he's not a super talented singer or guitar player.

Again, not much of a voice-but MAN,what a songwriter and POET! Anyone who inspired Hendrix like he did has something very special.
