I love Jeff Lynnes warm and sexy voice. I do enjoy the way Jeff use to produce songs. I find many of ELO lyrics to be very romantic. I can't help that I cry when I listen to them. Favorite albums are: Out of the blue, Discovery and A new world record. Of course I love every thing that has to do with Jeff Lynne. He means a lot to me. Thank you for saving my life in 1998. Nice voice

I like Jeff Lynne's voice but I really don't like ELO. But if I'm judging him as a potential vocalist in the band, yeah, OK.

A supergroup needs members that can write songs, sing, play different instruments - but Jeff Lynne also adds to his resume the ability to produce.

As a fan of ELO I have often found that Jeff Lynne's contribution to music has been under-rated,not so much by the public (hence all the hit singles & albums),but by the critics. Ok so the songs were never about gritty teenage angst,more along the lines of space-age escapism.But I think that is what made his work so popular,for the listener to lose themselves in a world of lush lines & melodies,Eldorado/New World Record/Out of the Blue & Time being prime examples.And considering ELO was such a big group,Lynne was never afraid to poke fun at it in some of the songs. Well worth a listen.
