Ok first all the girls who like him KNOW that he is married and don't actually think they are going to marry him or be with him. I should know, I'm one of them. I'm not stupid enough to think that. It's pretty easy to tell a persons personality from interviews and things like that.

I'm a super Green Day fan too, I love his voice and he is probably the best song writer out there. I love all their music old and new. I know all the songs you listed. I also like Having A Blast, Scattered, Walking Alone, Prosthetic Head and Sassafras Roots, all great songs. I have nearly all of their albums. I play guitar and can play most Green Day songs. I hate it when people say they hate for a band to become successful! And they played small shows in clubs last year playing 21st Century Breakdown start to finish before they released it. Please get your facts right before you say anything. And you can't base your opinion of teen girls who like Green Day on a few girls you have seen who just like Billie Joe because he's attrative and don't know any of the music. I'm 13 and that's not the case with me at all. If you were a real fan you would be happy that they play bigger shows now, heck they're playing Wembley Stadium in June. 90,000 people.

Wow, first of all I can't believe all the the pathetic remarks on here. Sure Billie Joe is very attractive, but lets get something straight. He's married, has two kids. (One which I am sure is as old as most of you saying "OMG Billie your so hott marry me blah blah") You will most likely never meet him, and you don't even know his ACTUAL personality.

I am a super Green Day fan, Billie has a great voice for their type of music, as well as lyric writing skill. I am more of a fan of their earlier albums. Longview, Burnout, Welcome to Paradise, Brain Stew, Hitchin' A Ride, all good songs. (Once again I am sure most of you don't even know them) I am a little disappointed at how mainstream they have become. Mostly because of the teenie boppers who prevent them from doing small shows in clubs, and now must do arena events. You can't even hang with the band after anymore, I'm sure they are afraid of getting raped... *cough*

Of course Billie's still the man, and I love him for HIS TALENTS and THE MUSIC he puts out..

Firts off i'm Billies Biggest Fan I can say because I am a Bisexual Punk and have fantisized making out with him.
2nd Billie Joe knows how to work a guitar your dumbfucks. I've heard ppl who cant play for shit or attempt to play heavy metal but only abuse thiere guitars and trust me Billie Has a shit load of Talent in that area. I mean Sure he plays alot of other instruments but Guitar is his life.
And if you guys are fucking stupid enough to sit there and say shit like "OH yeah i like them but the singer cant play guitar for shit" then im sorry but not fans at all, your fucking posers whom i hate very much............................. Sry, i was mad there i dont anyone, what im trying to say is he does have talent in many things. Hes got a great voice and a perfect face, not many ppl can get that. look at songs like 21 Guns and BLVD of broken dreams, hes the one playing the guitar. I play to, i play a shit load of Green Day songs. My Guitar has played more Green Day then anyone can count. so if you have something bad to say about billie, SAVE IT!

I love Green Day. Billie Joe Armstrong has a beautiful, powerful voice. It's one of the few voices I can stand to listen to live. He's not the best guitarist...but that's not the only instrument he plays and that's not what he's known best for. He writes most of the songs that Green Day put out, and the lyrics are amazing. They're really thought out and people can find themselves relating to them., whether it's songs from their older albums, or their newer ones. Sure, Billie Joe is an attractive guy, but it's not like he could control that. I love him for his musical talent and also his personality.

While Green Day's stuff has good energy, as musicians they fall a bit short of the real players. Slamming barre chords with mostly simple down strums doesn't warrant nomination to any supergroup. I do like them, but we are looking for real players here. Rock has had a SUPERGROUP for over 30 years, they come from Canada, they're called RUSH. There has never been a better group of musicians, not even close. Even if you could put the best of the rest into one band, they still wouldn't compare. As a musician, songwriter and recording/sound reinforcement engineer with 28 yrs experience, I have covered many of the popular greats and no band has ever presented the challenge to a group that RUSH does. Basic non-musician fans just have know way of understanding this, which is most unfortunate.

Billy Joe is very talented. Maybe not that talented at guitar (although most of the people with these comments wouldn't even know how to use a guitar) but he doesn't just do guitar. He does many different instruments, and is a good signer/lyricist. Not only does he write, but he writes really good lyrics. I love just reading his lyrics alone, and one of the only bands I can stand to hear live.

i love the fact you put guitar/vocal where he quite clearly doesnt write his lyrics, the record company does as he is a feindish sell out that needs to  be wiped from the anal beard of pop punk, also he doesnt even play the guitar, a guy thats not even credited as a band member does all the lead and probably write billie's riffs.

He was selling pot in high school and became a millionaire playing his punk rock before he was 20. He may seem sold out to some but to me he's an awesome musician and even more, a succesful entrepreneur.

This guy has some talent I will admit, but to put him ahead of some of the legends on this list would be a travesty.

I think Billie Joe is awesome. Not because he's a good looking guy but because he has a lot of talent behind him. And okay he may not be the best ever guitar player but he's still pretty damn good for the line of music that he's in. He has a beautiful singing voice and his lyrics are awesome! He's one of the few people to stand for something today, something which is rather important.

Yea newsflash, Greenday sucks and no member can musically compete with the rock legends of the 70's and 80's. It irritates me when people vote for this guy because of his physical appearance. I went to a Green Day concert and he basically was the "host" or whatever of the whole thing. He's really fun and hillarious. He's also EXTREMELY hot! Billie Joe is by far the best lead guitar/vocalist ever!

Billie joe deserves to be where he is now after all greenday have worked hard to get where they are now. But i think Billie joe's been working a little hard having 2 kids and all. But apart from that his band's music is out of this world from an american idiot's perspective. And from me it's terrific and i love it. So i definitely would urge anyone who's interested to hear them you'll be in for a music ride of your life.But I'm warning you it'll get very hard not to listen to them every day. As for Billie joe it'll get very hard not to stare at him every day.This band as well as billie joe will change your view on music and maybe even your taste so happy listening to everyone out there!
