Liked them until that cretin Norbert whatisface threw water over John Prescott and his wife. I wonder if he would have done the same to Thatcher (if he had, now that would have been something worth seeing). I doubt it. Still, they're gone now. Just as well.

Back to oblivion, one-hit wonders...

All I know is they did one song of note, Tubthumping (The I get Knocked Down Song). In a decade that had an absolute dearth of memorable songs, at least this one was catchy and rather infectious. A good song to work out to.

I hear their interviews and they have extremely radical left-wing politics, which would be cool if they're songwriting reflected their anarchistic views. Unfortunately, they have had only two hits in this hemisphere (can't vouch for the tastes of Europeans), one is a stupid drinking song and the other is about amnesia and is not even remotely as clever as they probably thought it would be. They get more than one star only because they are socialists, if naively so.

Why are we even hearing about this band still? They only had ONE top 10 hit, and even then it was really awful. And when it was popular, the radio stations overplayed it so much I actually had bitter feelings towards the song..lmao. Please put this band on the One Hit Wonder shelf where it belongs and leave it alone....ugh !

Pathetic band trying to be political but failing and just giving the impression that they're alcoholics. The only good thing that they ever did was pour a bucket of ice cold water over Gorden Brown (British MP) at the Brit awards! By the way, the song's called 'Tubthumping', not 'I get knocked down'.

Their fifteen minutes (more like seconds) of fame has long passed. This one hit wonder group has been long forgotten. I bet their CD isn't even worth 50 cents today. I'm glad I didn't buy it! Listening to "Tubthumping" just gets nauseous after the third time.

What do you mean 'one hit wonders'? According to this page, they've had at least three or more top songs. I suspect there have been a few more. Besides, who cares if they make the top 10 all the time if you like them. I agree with 'morebrainsthanboobs', I also enjoy the song 'I Get Knocked Down'. It has a catchy tune that, for some reason, I couldn't seem to get out of my head last summer when I was in England. Stop calling them names and give them a chance!
