In July 2009, the University of Illinois launched a salary freeze for administrators, faculty and other academic professionals without considering how much a person earns in a year, or whether the salary is from the university or external funding or grants. More than 65 administratives in the University of Illinois each make $200,000 to more than $450,000 annually. Since they make big sum of money in a year, the freezing doesn't hurt them at all. The university president at Urbana makes $450,000.Those individuals earn more than $15 million annually, or 2.5 percent of the salary budget for the University’s employees.

The clerks here in the university have a very low efficency and very bad handling techneque. They are not familiar with working processes, and not responsible! They delay at each step. Sometimes they make handicaps intentionally! Shit!!!!!!

I went to U of I for two years, and thinking that I could get a better education, I transferred to Northwestern University. Actually U of I is a better school for math and science. It was very challenging and rewarding. I'm actually completing my electrical engineering degree at U of I. I switched to music at Northwestern, and am coming back. I'm glad I get the opportunity to be a great engineer.

I've worked alongside several graduates of Illinois and they are better than I am. They have an excellent education.

Went there, some of the professors play a little too much Pokemon Snap. But props to 'em it is a fun game. When i went i was the biggest pothead up in that piece. They didn't like it when i broke into there secret lab and stole their alien spacecraft. THE TRUTH WILL BE KNOWN. ohhh and SUBMIT

For decades, the University of Illinois (and the state of Illinois) have invested their resources disproportionately in favor of engineering and the physical sciences at the state's flagship campus at Urbana-Champaign. The result is a testament to what money can buy, in terms of world-class professors and engineering & science facilities that rank with the world's best.

In the film "2001, Space Odyssey," the omnipresent computer, HAL, is identified as having been developed in Urbana, Illinois. The author selected this site for HAL's creation because the University of Illinois has been an engineering powerhouse since the early 20th century, and that fact is well known beyond the confines of academia.
