 | CastleBee (85) 01/26/2005 | I would say, learn, grow and try not to become too rigid and dogmatic.

 | bibliophile (12) 09/03/2004 | I would reword this: Keep an open mind and be open to changing your mind. Sometimes, there is no need to change, but it never hurts to put your beliefs and opinions up for review once in awhile.

 | Mr.Political (20) 09/02/2004 | Hold on. Just because change can often be a good thing, it does not mean it is always the best thing. For example, if you're a strong person such as, let say, GoneAway, you shouldn't change to the radicalism that has been so idiotically displayed by Chauncey.

 | winter_spirit (2) 08/28/2004 | Ironically, keeping an open mind may be an enemy of patriotism... This can only be considered patriotism if to change yourself means to change yourself so that you are more patriotic.

 | personwithcomment (0) 07/08/2004 | I think this is how people change and learn and grow over the years. It is difficult, when everyone is busy proving themselves right, but in my opinion, in order to be patriotic, you must change yourself for the best before you can change your country for the best.

 | Enkidu (38) 05/30/2004 | Most people probably think they have open minds, but truly they really are rare things. Do I have one? Probably not, but I do try to listen.
